Tasmanian Fishing and Boating News

TFBN   First published in 1995 and published every two months Tasmanian Fishing and Boating News is a topical and well loved part of Tasmania's recreational fishing culture. From the very start it was recognised that the most important component of TFBN was to make sure whatever you read about in the current edition you could reasonably go and try with the information supplied. For example; if you read about garfish there will be information about what, where, when and how. If you followed all the instructions then there is a far chance you will catch a feed.
Fly, lure and bait fishing are included in every issue - as are locations, stocking information, current fishery news, plus boat reviews, latest techniques, research, fly tying and recipes.

It has always been the policy to delivery up to date quality information, but it is not necessarily to Hemingway standard. This is not frowned upon by the editor, nor readers, as the information is much more important than the way it is written. It is this policy that results in a much broader coverage of fishing in Tasmania.

TFBN encourages contributors to include helpful fishing information, rather than just tell a story about going fishing. We love those stories, but would rather you also tell readers where you caught the big bluefin, or trout, and what you caught it on.

TFBN doesn't cover much outside Tasmania unless there is something that will interest Tasmanian anglers.
